AKAINA GHOSH is a New York-based actor, playwright, and composer. Their work focuses on emotionally nuanced, character-driven storytelling, with an emphasis on the subtle dynamics of human behavior.

They received their MFA in Acting from NYU Tisch and are represented by Framework Entertainment.

Akaina has worked across the United States and around the globe, debuting works in New York, Los Angeles, Switzerland, Greece, and the San Francisco Bay Area (including their TBA Award nominated performance as Tilly in Time Sensitive – Ragged Wing Ensemble). They received the June Anne Baker Prize from Playground for Playwriting, and the Innovators Series Award from 3GirlsTheatre for Writing and Directing.

Akaina is passionate about reconstructing historically significant narratives through a gender expansive lens and generating new works that center queer voices and perspectives.
